Inside: Update your kitchen or bathroom almost instantly with these super easy soap printables and amber glass bottles!
Slowly but surely I’ve been trying to decorate our new house, but let me tell you it’s been way more work than I thought.
We’ve literally been living in this house for 3 weeks without overhead lighting. It’s like we’re pioneers because as soon as the sun goes down, all the lights are gone (except the romantic glow of the tv).
And let’s face it when you’re decorating an entire house the process is slow and expensive!
Take the kitchen for example. Initially, I thought that it would be a piece of cake. We already picked out some white shaker style cabinets that were built with the house. We chose an upgraded range, we bought a fridge and we picked out our quartz countertops.
Sounds like we covered all the bases, right?
Well, not exactly.
You see, I forgot about the 3 pendant lights that hang over the kitchen island. I forgot I wanted to upgrade our kitchen faucet. And I hadn’t planned out any of the small decor touches that really make a huge difference in the look of a room.
Those three things right there can cost a pretty penny.
When I finally had enough of staring at that cheap plastic soap bottle filled with neon blue soap, I set out to find a prettier version. If you’ve ever looked for fancy soap dispensers I’m sure you’ve come across the brand Aesop. They’re gorgeous!
Naturally, I wanted one for the kitchen and every other bathroom in the house.
But the downside is they cost $40 a piece. And if I wasn’t redoing my entire house, I’d probably splurge on it (and reuse the bottle of course!), but $40 on soap per bathroom definitely wasn’t going to fly with my husband. So I came up with my own solution:
A few amber soap dispensers of my own and some handy free printable labels.
