Inside: Gather inspiration to make your own eclectic bedroom that’s full of drama and jewel tones.
Have you ever watched a tv show so full of drama you’re a little embarrassed to tell your friends about it? Something like the Real Housewives or Keeping Up With The Kardashians or even Wife Swap?
That’s not what I’m talking about here.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to divulge your secret reality tv sessions with me. I’m talking about dramatic decor.
Something like this:
While we’ve all been loving white interiors (and I don’t think I’ll ever be over them), dramatic style decor is making a big comeback. It’s loaded with deep, rich colors, tons of texture and bold choices. See how you can create the dramatic and eclectic bedroom of your dreams:

Bombay Antique Round Mirror
This stunning mirror brings a touch of whimsy and organic shape to the bedroom while adding the touch of glam every space should have.
Recently, I’ve become obsessed with vintage landscape art. I haven’t bought anything for my home yet, but I may have spent hours looking for just the right piece for my home. I love this one because it has that dark and brooding feel I love in vintage art.
I saw this pendant hanging in my local Crate & Barrel not too long ago and fell in love. The dark bronze (which almost looks black to me) is striking and I’m totally into the modern take on mid-century lighting.
Minted is one of my favorite places to browse for unique art, so I find myself checking in about once a week to see what’s new. This piece is so interesting to me. I keep looking at it trying to figure out what it is- is it a macro photograph or painting or what? I love the color and texture it adds to this eclectic bedroom.
So you probably know I’m obsessed with bohemian pillows, but ever since I recently bought a mud cloth pillow (I bought it from this seller) for my living room I’m hooked! The fabric is just so thick and texturized (that’s a word, right?) that I know it’ll hold up to 2 crazy hooligans (also knows as my kids). This mudcloth pillow has cute little polka dots on it that add a hint of femininity to the bedroom.
This rubber plant is another item that’s on my to buy list. I’m drawn to it’s thick and yes, rubber-like leaves. They just seem so hearty. And heaven knows I need a hearty, black-thumb proof plant in my house.
Ohhhh, this velvet oxblood pillow practically shouts drama! I want to get one in every jewel-toned color and scatter them throughout my house.
You guys, this bed frame is insanely affordable! We’ve been searching for the perfect neutral bed that won’t break the bank and I’m pretty certain this is the one we’re going to go with. I love the simple, clean lines and the textured gray fabric.
I’m beginning to see that I have a thing with simple furniture. Two of these stools would look perfect in place of an end of the bed bench. The black leather balances the space with a hint of masculinity.
Ok, this nightstand is gorgeous! But, it does come with a higher price tag. It’s not insane, but I can see getting some push back from my husband if I suggested we flank our bed with two of these guys.
Storage that works and looks good is essential for every room; that’s why I love this woven basket in a deeper neutral shade. You can use it as a laundry basket, to store shoes in or even for your throw pillows and blankets.
Vintage Rizbaft Rug
Here I go again, pushing my unconstrained love for vintage rugs on you. Yeah, they generally cost more money than a new rug, but they’re loaded with character, style, and charm that is just impossible to get from anything else. This rug is deep, dark and mysterious.
